Ingredients

Peach Filling

  • 5 peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • pinch salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice

Cobbler

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a pot, combine the peaches, brown sugar, sugar, salt, and lemon juice to make your peach filling. Heat it over a medium heat until the sugar turns into a liquid and the peaches start to get soft.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F, and while it is preheating, put the butter in your dish and let it melt in the oven.
  3. In a bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, and cinnamon, and stir to combine.
  4. Once the butter has melted, add the batter mixture and stir it in. The butter won't incorporate fully and that's ok.
  5. Add the peach filling on top, and spread the peaches out.
  6. Bake for about 40 minutes.
  7. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream!
